Please follow ALL these steps in order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Find your Domain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">After you login into Your account, find in the left hand side menu &#8216;Domains&#8217;. Click on &#8216;Domains&#8217; and select &#8216;My Domains&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/apartmentinvestorpro.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/02\/02-click-my-domains.png\" alt=\"click my domains\" class=\"wp-image-524\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Select Your Domain To Edit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">If you have multiple domains you&#8217;ll see a list, otherwise there should only be 1 domain to choose from. Select the domain you want to edit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/apartmentinvestorpro.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/02\/03-click-the-domain.png\" alt=\"click the domain\" class=\"wp-image-525\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Create Subdomain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">After you have selected your domain, you&#8217;ll be presented with the information about that domain. The field at the bottom automatically has your domain, all you have to do is add www and click Create Subdomain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/apartmentinvestorpro.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/02\/04-moniker-create-subdomain-1024x539.png\" alt=\"moniker create subdomain\" class=\"wp-image-526\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Adding The CNAME<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">A pop-up will appear when you click &#8216;Create Subdomain&#8217;. Find where it says &#8216;Subdomain Overview&#8217; and click &#8216;Edit&#8217; next to your newly created subdomain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/apartmentinvestorpro.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/02\/07-root-domain-1.png\" alt=\"root domain\" class=\"wp-image-530\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">A new pop-up will show when you click &#8216;Edit&#8217;. Under &#8216;Web Settings&#8217; select &#8216;Redirect&#8217;. Log into your Done Deal Website account and scroll down till you see on the side menu &#8216;Tools&#8217;. Hover over tools and click on &#8216;Domain Mapping&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/apartmentinvestorpro.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-05-at-1.05.54-PM.png\" alt=\"domain mapping tools in WP dashbaord\" class=\"wp-image-500\" width=\"435\" height=\"407\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Once you&#8217;re redirected add Your domain to the &#8216;Map new domain name&#8217; Field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/apartmentinvestorpro.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-05-at-1.08.46-PM-1024x572.png\" alt=\"Adding your domain name\" class=\"wp-image-501\" width=\"528\" height=\"294\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/apartmentinvestorpro.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-05-at-1.44.51-PM-1024x221.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-504\" width=\"801\" height=\"173\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">What you&#8217;ll also want to do is click the Star icon under &#8216;Actions&#8217; for the domain you just added. This will make it the primary domain. Otherwise, it will use your Done Deal Website URL as the primary and will  affect your sitemap. What does this mean? Well if you are concerned about SEO, it&#8217;ll make a difference because all of the URLs in your sitemap will show as your Done Deal Website domain name if you don&#8217;t change your primary domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\"><strong>IMPORTANT: Include the &#8216;www&#8217;. You may not have any domain in the list above unlike the picture above. Whether you only have 1 or multiple, make sure to select &#8216;Directed to mapped (primary) domain&#8217; for Your new domain.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 7: Request SSL Certificate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">The last thing you\u2019ll want to do is set up an SSL certificate. What is an SSL certificate? An SSL certificate makes your website more secure. It also puts the little \u201csecure\u201d lock icon in your web browser when you visit your site. Having an SSL certificate can help people to trust your website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">This last step however, you cannot do yourself. You\u2019ll need to <a href=\"http:\/\/donedealwebsite.com\/support\/ssl-request\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">submit a request for an SSL Certificate<\/a> to Apartment Investor Pro support.
