To edit menus on your website, click “What Pages Are Listed<\/strong>“:<\/p>\n

The Main Menu is the one that shows up at the top of your home page and on certain other pages.<\/p>\n

The Footer menu is one that shows up at the bottom of your pages.<\/p>\n

How to Remove a Page From a Menu<\/h3>\n

If you want to remove a menu item, click the item.\u00a0 This will expand the options.\u00a0 Near the bottom of this little box you should see a “Remove” link.\u00a0 Click that.<\/p>\n

When you’re finished making changes, click the “Publish” button at the top.<\/p>\n

How to Change the Name of a Menu Item<\/h3>\n

If you want to change the name of a certain link in your menu, click that item to expand the options for it.\u00a0 The first box is called “Navigation Label”.\u00a0 You can change the wording to whatever you like.<\/p>\n

If you want to add a link, scroll to the bottom of this list and click “Add Items”.<\/p>\n

This will open up a new area to the right with a list of pages and other items.<\/p>\n

If you have a page on your site you want to add to the menu, you should find the page in the list of pages and click the little plus icon <\/p>\n

Changing the order of menu items<\/h3>\n

If you want to change the order of menu items, there are two options.<\/p>\n

Option 1)\u00a0 You can just click and drag the menu items to move them.\u00a0 If you move an item under another item and then move it slightly to the right, it will be a sub-menu of that menu item.<\/p>\n

Option 2)\u00a0 Scroll to the bottom of your menu and click the “Reorder” link:<\/p>\n

This will give you the ability to see visually how your menu is formatted.\u00a0 There will be little arrows you can click to move items around.<\/p>\n

It may look something like this.<\/p>\n

You’ll notice some menu items are indented.\u00a0 The items that are aligned on the left are main menu items.\u00a0 If there are other items under it that are indented, it means the top item is a drop-down menu and the other items appear under that main item.<\/p>\n

In the example above, “Sell” is a top-level menu item that is a drop-down menu.\u00a0 The items under it, like “Sell Your House”, “Notes”, etc. appear in a drop-down menu under “Sell”.<\/p>\n

If you wanted to move “Notes” to the top of the list under “Sell”, you’d just click the little Up arrow:<\/p>\n

Here’s what each of the buttons do:<\/p>\n

Up:<\/strong>\u00a0 Move the item higher on the list.\u00a0 If it’s grayed out, it means it can’t go any higher.\u00a0 In the example above, “Sell Your House” can’t go any higher because it’s already at the top of the drop-down menu under “Sell”.<\/p>\n

Down:<\/strong>\u00a0 Move the item down on the list.\u00a0 If it’s grayed out, it can’t go any lower.\u00a0 It’s already either at the bottom of the overall menu, or at the bottom of a drop-down menu.<\/p>\n

Left:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>If an item is part of a drop-down menu, the left arrow will remove it from that drop-down menu and make it a top-level menu item, meaning it won’t appear in a drop-down menu but will be its own item by itself.<\/p>\n

Right:<\/strong>\u00a0 This will make the item a drop-down menu item of the item above it.\u00a0 So, in the example above, if you clicked the right arrow for “Commercial\/Multi-unit”, it would make it a drop-down or sub-menu of “Notes”.\u00a0 Menus can be nested, meaning you can have multiple levels.\u00a0 So with this example, Sell would be a main menu item.\u00a0 Notes would be in the drop-down menu under “Sell”.\u00a0 Then “Commercial \/ Multi-Unit” would be in a sub-menu of “Notes”.<\/p>\n
